According to many experts, the Flair 58 sets a new gold standard in manual espresso machines. The lever is professional grade and improves the workflow of home high-pressure coffee extraction. The 58 model also includes specific improvements, such as the integrated preheating function by providing a temperature controller. Simply set the brew head to one of three settings to ensure proper preheating and thermal control when brewing each cup of coffee.

The industry-standard 58 mm portafilter and basket ensure that professional-quality espresso is easily prepared at home.

Differences between the 2023 model and the previous 2022:

The piston has been improved, making it even more reliable.


Another improved component is the controller of the heating element. It now signals if the power switches off and on again. Additionally, the connector of the heating element to the brew head has been enhanced and boasts a more aesthetically pleasing design. Most importantly, the heating element is now integrated into all the brew heads, allowing the Flair 58 to be delivered as non-electric and easily upgraded later on.

The last difference is the inclusion of a magnetic plate for the new shot mirror, which is integrated into the base. The new mirror is a delightful addition, offering the pleasure of observing your espresso as it flows out of the naked portafilter.

Apart from these changes, v.3 comes with the same accessories included in the box as v.2. This continuity makes sense as the "old" Flair 58 is already an exceptional machine.

Love it

It's my first manual machine, and I fell in love with it after the first use. The lever is not as hard to pull down as it seems (provided you don't grind too fine). By controlling the pressure, it's easy to get delicious coffee even if you're not 100% dialed in. Clean up is easy as well. The included heating element heats up to the target temp quite fast, but I like to leave it on stand by for a while after it beeps, in order to heat up the portafilter a bit. It only has 3 settings — low, medium and high — but it hasn't been a problem so far (especially if you have a kettle with temp control). The machine also pairs up really well with acaia lunar and the SE profiler app, although not necessary for having amazing espresso. Delivery time was quite fast: around 2 days after it was sent.
